I’ve been waiting months for this property to come onto the market. I first shot it last fall, and have taken two subsequent trips to photograph it in different lights. I won’t go into great detail about the home, since it has been well documented on this website. But I will say that this is one of the nicest homes I have ever shot, partly due to the owner insisting that we shoot it on an overcast day instead of a sunny one. The cloud-diffused sunlight drifted through the skylights and large windows beautifully, making my job much easier.
The twilight photo shoot was helped substantially with recessed lighting throughout the home, including some floor-mounted spotlights which pointed straight up to illuminate the ceiling. I also managed to direct the outdoor floodlights so that they lit up the pond and rock walls the way I wanted.
