In an effort to help homeowners defray the skyrocketing cost of housing in Vancouver, the city recently approved the construction of laneway houses in some neighbourhoods. These homes, sometimes know as carriage houses or coach houses, share a property with the main house, but face the lane instead of the street. Alex Glegg of Henry + Glegg Architects designed this pint-sized beauty, as well as the main house in front of it.
