Summer in Southlands

August 11, 2014

I have shot several properties in horse country over the years, and each one is a class by itself. Southlands is where you can build the home of your dreams, and not be confined by neighbours squeezing you from all sides. Throw in some waterfront, and the fact that you can be downtown or at the airport within 15 minutes, and you can understand the appeal.

This particular property includes a large carriage house, stable, swimming pool and an unobstructed view of the busy Fraser River. And an eight-figure price tag. Ask Judith Matheson for a tour of this unique property.

Want to buy an Island?

July 21, 2014

I recently spent the day shooting photos and videos for this 1-acre private island just two hours from Vancouver. It includes power, water, septic, and a boat to get you there and back. This is a perfect example of the value of aerial photography and videography (done by Rick at AirFrame Productions. Check out the video). You just can’t get a better feel for this place than from the air.

See Jay McInnes for the full marketing spiel.

Estate Sale

May 13, 2013

This impressive Southlands estate didn’t last long on the market. Over 31,000 square feet in the middle of horse country. Teak hardwood floors span the huge open plan interior, and of course, the tennis court and indoor pool. Realtor Patrick Weeks sold it a couple of days after I sent him the photos. Coincidence?

Country style

June 9, 2011

Southlands is the perfect location for the horse lover who still wants the conveniences of living in the big city. It’s about 15 minutes from downtown, but you’d never know it once you get down there. The neighbourhood runs along the Fraser River, and is populated by stately homes, hobby farms, and lots of stables. This home is a particularly nice example: relatively new, sitting on just under an acre of land, with its own stable. You have to supply the horses. Contact Penny Graham for more information.
