Bulthaup Vancouver

February 12, 2013

Bulthaup is a German company with a worldwide reputation for manufacturing some of the highest quality kitchens in the world. I had the opportunity the other day to shoot this Bulthaup kitchen in a spacious West Vancouver home. I will be shooting more of these beautiful kitchens in the months to come.

Caulfeild Custom Home

January 18, 2013

When you walk in the front door of this beautiful Caulfeild home, you can stand in the middle of the two-storey high foyer and see into every room on the main floor. The layout is completely open, yet every room feels private and comfortable. Master bedroom on the main floor makes sense. Great neighbourhood, and a view from the back yard. Interested? Talk to Eric Christiansen.

Caufeild View

October 26, 2012

The steep hills of West Vancouver’s Caufeild neighbourhood offer some homes a completely unobstructed view of the world. From this house, you can see the lights of Nanaimo on a clear night. But even when the weather is cloudy, it’s still breathtaking. The house has a covered hot tub room with west facing windows, so you can soak in the view while you soak in the tub. Talk to Eric Christiansen for more information on this listing.

Smile for the camera

October 18, 2012

Some places are more photogenic than others. Take this this terrific home in West Van – from the friendly front deck to the crow’s nest perched on the roof, this is the kind of place I live to shoot. I saw a lot of camera-friendly places like this one recently, so stay tuned. And if you want more info on this listing, talk to Eric Christiansen

Capilano Highlands

October 14, 2012

Here are some images of a nicely decorated home I shot for Clive and Steve the other day. Lots of whites, with splashes of colour everywhere. In North Vancouver, near the top of Capilano Road.

Up On Furry Creek

August 23, 2012

I’ve been up to Oliver’s Landing at Furry Creek a few times in the past few weeks. Murray Thompson is a realtor who lives there and is the go-to guy whenever somebody wants to buy or sell in the neighbourhood. Murray asked me to put together some lifestyle images of this little community, so we picked a sunny (well, almost sunny) day and spent a few enjoyable hours wandering around with a camera. It’s the only place I know of where you can get waterfront property for about a million dollars.

Siberian Sunset

July 11, 2012

So Steve Mitchell and I were up on the roof of this house in the British Properties the other night, waiting for the sun to set so we could grab some nice twilight view shots with the infinity pool in the foreground. The sky was very hazy – we couldn’t see Mount Baker or Vancouver Island. But we still got some fabulous shots like the one below. It wasn’t until I got home that I found out the brown smog was caused by forest fires in Russia. Seriously.

No beige allowed

June 24, 2012

The owners of this North Vancouver view property banished neutral colours from their home when they redesigned it a few years ago. Instead of blending into the background, the walls transform the house into a work of art, reflecting the tastes of the owners, and complements their interesting collections of figurines, sculptures, and motorcycles. From the street, the front of the house is very unassuming, but the back yard is where the real living takes place: a huge pool, decks, waterfall, and cabana make the most of the available space. I’m glad Clive and Steve chose to do a night shoot here, the colours stand out like neon against the dark blue evening sky.
