We caught one of the few nice evenings when we shot this beautiful penthouse for Jacky Levi and Jacob Krause. It was a little overcast but clear, so we were able to showcase the panoramic view. The interior was pretty nice too. Have a look here to see the writeup. And the price tag.

I have shot many homes in The Mark over the past couple of years, but none like this one. In fact, I have never seen a downtown location with its own private roof deck, complete with pool, hot tub and outdoor kitchen. There’s a 3100 square foot, three bedroom Robert Ledingham – designed home directly underneath as well. Ask Whitney Lewis if it’s still available, because you won’t see another one like in in quite a while.
I’ve been waiting months for this property to come onto the market. I first shot it last fall, and have taken two subsequent trips to photograph it in different lights. I won’t go into great detail about the home, since it has been well documented on this website. But I will say that this is one of the nicest homes I have ever shot, partly due to the owner insisting that we shoot it on an overcast day instead of a sunny one. The cloud-diffused sunlight drifted through the skylights and large windows beautifully, making my job much easier.
The twilight photo shoot was helped substantially with recessed lighting throughout the home, including some floor-mounted spotlights which pointed straight up to illuminate the ceiling. I also managed to direct the outdoor floodlights so that they lit up the pond and rock walls the way I wanted.

That magic hour, when it is just as bright indoors as it is outdoors, arrives in the late afternoon these days. Back in June, photos like this would be taken at about 9:45 pm. I shot this West Vancouver beauty at 4 o’clock the other day. This is a brand new home listed by new clients DJ Denner and Nick Neacsu. It’s impeccably staged, but even more importantly, the main lights have DIMMERS, that make my job infinitely easier. Enjoy the pictures, as well as a pretty cool video that we made for this property.
This stunning property didn`t last very long on the market. I shot it abut a month ago and it recently sold at the bargain price of $7,880,000. The property itself has a direct connection to members of the Guinness family, who lived there while they built the British Properties. The new home boasts over 5,000 square feet of living space, a lagoon and pool, and soaring windows that bring the giant cedars right into the living room. Plus a guest house. So have a nice drool at the pictures below, and start saving your money for the next time this beauty hits the market.
Hidden behind some strategically placed trees is this beautiful West Side home, on one of the best view streets in the city. Its floor to ceiling windows give you an unobstructed panorama of the North Shore mountains, downtown Vancouver, and Jericho Beach just down the hill. Sue and Sarah can fill you in with the details of this unique property.
I have shot several properties in horse country over the years, and each one is a class by itself. Southlands is where you can build the home of your dreams, and not be confined by neighbours squeezing you from all sides. Throw in some waterfront, and the fact that you can be downtown or at the airport within 15 minutes, and you can understand the appeal.
This particular property includes a large carriage house, stable, swimming pool and an unobstructed view of the busy Fraser River. And an eight-figure price tag. Ask Judith Matheson for a tour of this unique property.
I shot this beautiful home last week, but it just hit the market today. It’s right on the water on a quiet little street in Deep Cove. Complete with pool, putting green, private dock, boat lift, and a whole lot more. Patricia Houlihan can fill in the details. The price? Well, if you have to ask…
I have shot quite a few waterfront properties over the years, in White Rock, Horseshoe Bay, Deep Cove and Point Grey. While there are lots of areas where private property touches the shore, most of them feature rocky shores or steep cliffs between the lot and the water. This West Van house, on the other hand, has an actual beach and a slope that allows you to wade right in to Burrard Inlet. Add to that the wood and granite interior, and huge windows with unobstructed views from east to west, and you have an amazing estate you can only find on the West Coast. Here are a few choice photos. Harvey Kardos has the rest.
Although I’m not a big fan of The Donald, I couldn’t help but get excited when Merike of Kodu Design asked me to meet her downtown to shoot the presentation centre for the new Trump Hotel and Tower. As usual, Merike did an outstanding job, and although I had to deal with some very dark rooms and backlit walls, we ended up with some great shots, a few of which are here:
