Up On Furry Creek

August 23, 2012

I’ve been up to Oliver’s Landing at Furry Creek a few times in the past few weeks. Murray Thompson is a realtor who lives there and is the go-to guy whenever somebody wants to buy or sell in the neighbourhood. Murray asked me to put together some lifestyle images of this little community, so we picked a sunny (well, almost sunny) day and spent a few enjoyable hours wandering around with a camera. It’s the only place I know of where you can get waterfront property for about a million dollars.

University Class

This UBC area luxury home is without a doubt one of the finest homes I have ever had the pleasure of photographing. This Georgy Award winner was surprisingly easy to shoot. The white walls, high ceilings, and large windows allow daylight to pour into every corner of this 9900 square foot mansion, so I didn’t need a lot of extra lights. And the rooms were big enough that I could pick my angles with ease and not have to worry about backing all the way against a wall to make the rooms look big. Enjoy the photos. You can see the whole set here, as well as a video that we shot at the same time. Or contact Michael Lipnitsky for a showing.

Shaughnessy Mews

These luxury townhomes would fit right into Kerrisdale, Caufeild, UBC or any number of upscale Lower Mainland neighbourhoods. But Sivia Construction placed them right in the middle of Langley, where they can be had for under half a million dollars. Some sample photos below. You’ll find the rest at Shaughnessy Mews. Great idea.
